Delete your account

This page explains how to delete your Diagnosica account and the data held with it. You can do it yourself inside the app, or ask us to do it for you. You do not need the app installed to make the request.

Cancel your subscription first. If you subscribed through Google Play or the App Store, deleting your account does not cancel that subscription, because only the store can cancel it. Cancel it in Google Play subscriptions or in your iPhone Settings before you delete, or you will keep being charged for an account you no longer have. If you subscribed on the web with a card, deleting your account cancels that subscription immediately.

Option 1: delete it yourself in the app

  1. Open Diagnosica and sign in.
  2. Go to Profile.
  3. Choose Delete account and confirm.

You are signed out straight away. This works the same on Android, iPhone and the web app.

Option 2: ask us to delete it

Email us from the address you signed up with, with the subject Delete my account. Using your sign-up address is how we confirm the request is really yours. If you cannot access that address any more, write from any address and tell us so, and we will verify your identity another way before deleting anything.

We aim to reply within two working days and to complete the deletion within 30 days of verifying the request.

What happens next

Deletion is immediate and permanent. The moment you confirm in the app, we remove your account and everything listed below, and we delete your identity record with our sign-in provider. There is no grace period and no way to undo it, so please only confirm if you are certain.

You are signed out on every device straight away, and nothing can be recovered afterwards. If you want to use Diagnosica again later you are very welcome to, but signing up with the same email address gives you a brand new empty account: your previous history, progress and results are gone and cannot be restored.

What is deleted, and what is kept

Subscription and order records Deleted from your account. Billing and tax records held by our payment providers are kept for as long as the law requires, which is normally six to seven years.
