About Diagnosica

Diagnosica is a practice app for building and keeping clinical-reasoning skills sharp. You talk to an AI patient, work the case the way you would on the ward, and get marked on how you reasoned.

Reading about a condition is not the same as working out what is wrong with the person in front of you. Real practice means taking a history, deciding what to order, reading the results, and committing to a diagnosis and a plan. That kind of practice usually needs a simulated patient, a room, and someone to mark you, so most people only get it a handful of times before an exam or a real shift. Diagnosica gives you that loop on your own phone or laptop, whenever you want, as many times as you want.

How a case works

  1. Talk to the patient. Take the history by voice or by text. The patient answers in character and only tells you what you ask about.
  2. Examine and investigate. Order labs and view imaging, and read what comes back.
  3. Decide. Commit to a differential diagnosis and a management plan.
  4. Defend your reasoning. Talk through the case with an AI senior who questions your thinking.
  5. Get marked. See a scorecard across core clinical competencies with a written debrief and suggested next cases.

Who it is for

Medical students getting ready for the wards and for clinical exams, and junior doctors who want to keep their reasoning sharp between shifts. No hardware and no scheduling. You need a phone or a laptop.

What it is honest about

Diagnosica is a learning tool, not a medical device, and nothing in it is medical advice for a real patient. Cases are written for teaching and reviewed by doctors. It does not replace supervised clinical training, and it does not cover every station or specialty. We are clear on the app about what each case does and does not include.

Diagnosica is built by a small team with input from doctors training around the world. Read more on the blog, or see how your data is handled in our privacy policy.
