How does Diagnosica score a case?

Updated 19 October 2026

Every finished case gets a score out of 100 and a breakdown across eight competencies: history taking, examination choices, investigations, differential reasoning, management planning, communication, clinical safety and documentation.

The scorecard also names the single thing that would have moved your score most, gives teaching points on the case and suggests what to play next.

Diagnosica is an AI clinical simulator for medical students and junior doctors. You take a history from an AI patient on video, by voice or text, order labs and real imaging, commit to a diagnosis and management plan, and get a competency scorecard.

What is marked

History takingDid you ask what mattered, including the thing the patient did not volunteer
Examination choicesWhat you chose to look for (the examination itself is not simulated)
InvestigationsWhether you ordered the right tests, and avoided the wrong ones
Differential reasoningYour main diagnosis and the alternatives you kept open
Management planningWhat you would do next, and in what order
CommunicationHow you spoke to the patient
Clinical safetyRed flags spotted, dangerous misses avoided
DocumentationHow clearly you summarised the case

How much to trust it

The marking is AI feedback, labelled formative while it is validated with clinicians. Treat it as a training signal, not a result.

Points, streaks and leagues

Finished cases earn points for the weekly league and the leaderboard. Quick cases keep your daily streak going. Free accounts get the same full scorecard as paying ones.

Common questions

How is Diagnosica marked?

Each finished case gets a score out of 100 and a breakdown across eight competencies: history taking, examination choices, investigations, differential reasoning, management planning, communication, clinical safety and documentation. The scorecard also names the one change that would have moved the score most and gives teaching points on the case.

Do free users get the full scorecard?

Yes. Free accounts see exactly the same scorecard as paying accounts after every case, including the per-competency breakdown and the teaching points. Paying raises the number of full cases you can play, not the depth of feedback you get on each one.

How accurate is the AI marking?

Treat it as a training signal. The marking is AI feedback, labelled formative while it is validated with clinicians, and the cases themselves are clinically reviewed before they go live. It is useful for spotting what you consistently miss across many cases, not as a verdict on a single one.

Is Diagnosica legit, and who makes it?

Diagnosica is a small, independent company operated by CC Global Group LLC, live on the web, the App Store and Google Play. Cases are written for teaching and clinically reviewed before they go live. It is a learning tool, not a medical device, and it is not affiliated with any exam board.
