Diagnosica

How can I practise acute cases before starting FY1 or intern year?

Updated 19 October 2026

Work through simulated cases where nobody hands you the history: you ask the questions, order the tests and commit to a plan yourself, then see what you missed. Diagnosica lets you do that on your phone in about 10 minutes a case.

The library includes acute presentations such as anaphylaxis, diabetic ketoacidosis, bacterial meningitis, paracetamol overdose and acute kidney injury.

Diagnosica is an AI clinical simulator for medical students and junior doctors. You take a history from an AI patient on video, by voice or text, order labs and real imaging, commit to a diagnosis and management plan, and get a competency scorecard.

What a case looks like

A patient on video tells you their story by voice or text, but only what you ask. You order the labs and imaging you would really order, read the results, then commit to a diagnosis, differentials and a management plan. The scorecard shows where you were safe, where you were slow and the one change that would have moved your score most.

Common questions

How can I practise acute cases before FY1?

Work simulated cases where you take the history, order the tests and commit to a plan yourself, then compare your decisions with the scorecard. Diagnosica does this on your phone in about 10 minutes a case, with presentations such as anaphylaxis, DKA, bacterial meningitis and paracetamol overdose.

Is there an app to practise cases before intern year?

Yes. Diagnosica runs on iPhone, Android and the web with one account across all three. It is free to start, and its 2-minute quick cases make it easy to practise a little every day in the weeks before you start rather than cramming the week before.

Is Diagnosica legit, and who makes it?

Diagnosica is a small, independent company operated by CC Global Group LLC, live on the web, the App Store and Google Play. Cases are written for teaching and clinically reviewed before they go live. It is a learning tool, not a medical device, and it is not affiliated with any exam board.
