If you’re scanning Quesmed alternatives, know the two big strengths up front. Breadth in one UK-shaped place, and a real AI OSCE that actually runs stations end to end.

For Clinical and MLA work you get 11,000+ Clinical Questions, 3,000 Basic Science Questions, 15,000 Anki style Flashcards, 100 hours of Video Tutorials, Four MLA Mock Tests, and Seven PSA Mock Tests. The site navigation spans UCAT, anatomy and pre-clinical, Clinical and MLA, MSRA, PLAB 1 and 2, and specialty interview banks.

On Quesmed's own AI OSCE page they say you can practise full OSCE stations with an AI patient and an AI examiner in real time, then get structured, GMC-style marked feedback the moment you finish. Every History and Communication station in the bank is included with no booking, no waiting, and no need for a study partner, and feedback lands with itemised strengths, areas for improvement, and a global impression rating.

You can quickly build and generate custom stations from scratch, and it’s designed to multiply reps, not to replace peer practice or clinical placements.

One thing to know before you count stations. That page gives three different totals on a single scroll, the plan card says 450+ OSCE Stations, a feature block says 500+, and the FAQ says “our 180+ stations” for AI practice, so read the headline as approximate and the 180+ as the AI-specific number.

What Quesmed actually costs in 2026

Price confusion is real, and both figures you hear are partly right. Quesmed sells the Clinical and MLA AKT bank at three durations, and it also sells multi-year bundles outright, which changes the headline number you’ll quote.

The simple maths matters. Annual access to a single bank works out at a small per-month cost compared with paying monthly, and if you’re early in clinical years and confident you’ll stay the course, the six-year bundle brings the lowest per-month figure by a distance.

The counterpoint is risk. A long bundle is a bet on a platform you haven’t used yet, and on your own study plan not changing mid-way. If you’re unsure, shorter access lets you test the fit before you commit.

PassMedicine stays the cheapest serious finals bank, and the package is listed as "Medical student finals / UKMLA package (includes OSCE resource + PSA questions)" on PassMedicine's finals package. iatroX gives adaptive banks and a clinical answering tool, with a free tier that includes askiatroX plus PSA and other banks. Prices and what is free are on iatroX's published plans, but this is still knowledge rather than consultation practice.

Geeky Medics is the tab many UK students already have open, the closest free consultation practice. Where a question bank stops working

A question bank hands you the stem, so it checks if you recognise the answer once the facts are already arranged on the page. Real clinics need something else, getting those facts out of a frightened person in eight minutes, then deciding which thread to pull.

Across our case library count on 14 August 2026, 661 history facts only appear on a specific probe, 286 on a general question, and 163 are volunteered. Take the case “Severe headache and vomiting, 50M”. He briefly lost consciousness when the pain hit, and a week earlier had a milder sudden headache that settled. Both only surface if you ask directly, both are flagged red, and both change the answer.

Leave those out and the differential can look like migraine or meningitis. Add them and subarachnoid haemorrhage moves to the top, with intracerebral haemorrhage, ischaemic stroke, cerebral venous sinus thrombosis, pituitary apoplexy and malignant hypertension listed as distractors in that case.

iatroX has written iatroX's own alternatives page dated 16 May 2026, calling the split like this, “Quesmed is a polished modern Q-bank with study tools attached. iatroX is a clinical learning system where the Q-bank is one component.” They quote no prices. It’s worth reading precisely because they’re also selling something.

How to pick if you can only buy one thing

1. Pick the nearest real exam and buy for that, not the whole year. Start from your date and budget backwards using a finals revision plan, then match the bank to that window.
2. Use free routes first. Pastest's Knowledge tier is £0.00 on both monthly and yearly, iatroX's askiatroX plus its MRCP Part 1, MRCEM SBA, PSA and PARA banks are free with no card, and PassMedicine offers a demo.
3. Buy the shortest duration that covers your exam window. Quesmed sells 1, 6 and 12 months at £14.99, £29.99 and £39.99 per bank as of August 2026, which tells you why monthly and six month tiers exist.
4. Once your written bank is sorted, ask separately how you will practise talking, because that is a different purchase and most people skip it. Diagnosica's free tier is one AI patient case a week to speak to.
5. Do not buy a multi year bundle in your final year. Quesmed's Complete Undergraduate bundle is £249.99 for 72 months as of August 2026, which makes sense for an early clinical student, not someone sitting finals in six months.
